Saint Kateri Tekakwitha
Saint Kateri Tekakwitha (1656–1680), the “Lily of the Mohawks,” is the first Native American saint of North America. Converted to Christianity as a young woman, she embraced a life of prayer, chastity, and devotion despite hardship and misunderstanding. Her purity, courage, and radiant holiness continue to inspire all who seek faithfulness and strength in Christ.
