Saint Teresa of Ávila

Saint Teresa of Ávila (1515–1582) was a Spanish Carmelite nun, mystic, and reformer whose writings on prayer and the soul remain treasures of Christian spirituality. She dedicated her life to deep contemplation, founded reformed convents, and became one of the first women honored as a Doctor of the Church. Known for her courage, humility, and wisdom, she continues to inspire seekers of faith and devotion.
